Endangered Species  Project

​Every species on Earth has a specific and important role in the environment. During this semester, we have researched the endangered California Tiger Salamander and the issues affecting it. We not only learned about the devastating issues involved with our endangered species, but have also gained a deeper understanding of the influence socioeconomics and ecology hold over the saving of a species.

The Salmon Protection and Watershed Network (SPAWN) is an organization working to restore the California Tiger Salamander habitat. SPAWN is under the umbrella organization of the Turtle Island Restoration Network. Click here to donate today!

Do your part by restoring California Tiger Salamander habitat! If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, SPAWN is holding a habitat restoration day at the San Geronimo Creek on January 23 and 30 in 2016 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. As members of the Sustainable Environment Academy-Drake Integrated Studies Curricula (SEA-DISC), it is our mission to save the California Tiger Salamander. Through this website, we hope to raise awareness about the importance of this species and provide ways which we can all prevent this salamander from going extinct.
